Hello everyone. I've decided to quite modeling for the time being. It seems that what I want and what the photographers I meet want are very different things. We do not share common interests, and more often than not I feel stressed and guilty after a photo shoot. I will still take most paid assignments, but most photographers don't pay me.
I don't receive much interest from photographers as it is (which is mostly a comment on the state of the industry. 90% of photographers aren't interested in men, and the ones that are usually prefer the all-american muscle bound look) And when a photographer does want to work with me, more often than not they are in it to take advantage of me sexually. This has become the norm. When I realized I now expect it, I decided to think about whether this is worth it at all. So I'm pretty much over it.
Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed and commented on my photos. I seem to have a good amount of fans. And I know I have the capacity to continue being a good model, but for the foreseeable future that won't be happening.
I'll pursue nude modeling for art classes and drawing groups again once I've settled into a new area. And I may soon try my hand at directing and being a photographer for other models. I have concepts and ideas for shoots which have never had the chance to be realized.
